Another Skirt

Good news! My computer is almost fixed. Or rather a work-around has been reached until we get a chance to reformat our hard drive and no data has been lost. It was pretty touch and go for a few days while we both got frustrated with our machine.

So back to crafting.

Ruffled Skirt

I've been sewing like mad lately. I'm not sure if it's because it's really the only crafting supplies I didn't move to the studio or if I'm just excited about these projects. Although I have to admit that I sew a lot no matter what else is going on.

This skirt is the third of the final installment of skirts for nieces. I used a pattern from Burda Style. I think it came out rather well. Don't mind the wrinkles in the ruffles. I was avoiding ironing and pretending that it wasn't noticeable.

Invisible Zipper Detail

I don't usually sew much in the way of clothes. I'm still learning how to read patterns instead of making it up as I go along. The actual sewing part was not terribly complicated. But I did find it a bit tricky figuring out what the pattern was telling me to do. Plus I put in an invisible zipper! I was pretty proud of myself for that.
